Home sweet home!

Hi everybody!  We just wanted to pop in and let you know that we did go to our forever home and we love it!  Our new mom says we will never have to pack our bags again!  That was music to our ears after moving around so much.  Oh, we also have new names.  Sweetie is now Nittany, and Shadow is now Mitsouko.  Here are a couple of pictures in our new home.  Thank you to everyone who followed our journey, and we hope you will go adopt a cat of your own!

Adoption pending!

Hi everyone!  Sweetie and Shadow here.  Foster mom says we have an adoption pending.  We aren't quite sure what that means, but foster mom said to start packing our bags.  I think that means someone wants us to move in with them!!  We are so excited.  We met a really nice lady who came to visit us twice, so we think she loves us and wants us to come live with her.

Gotta go pack our bags!  We will post more once we arrive in our new home!

We LOVE to play!

Foster mama bought us some new wand toys because we LOVE playing!  The one in the video has a bell which is driving foster mom crazy.  We don't mind it though.  We will chase anything.  We don't get as much attention here as we would like because the resident cat doesn't like other cats, so we are living on the lower level.  Foster mom tries to come and play with us 2-3 times a day, but we would LOVE to be near her at all times.  Sometimes she'll watch TV downstairs with us, and after a short play session we are happy to curl up near her.  We think a home with kids would be awesome as they would play with us a lot!  Enough of a break to tell you about us.  Back to play time!

No rainy day blues here!

Hi everyone!

These rainy days don't have to be so blue if you take us home!  We promise if you play with us we will make you laugh and bring sunshine back to your days!

We love to play and then have some snuggle time.  Here's a couple of pics foster mom took of us so you can see how beautiful we are.

Still looking!

Nope! Our new home isn't in here.  We are still waiting for our forever person to find us.  We are beautiful, young, and friendly, so we can't understand why we haven't been adopted yet.  Foster mom says it's only been just over week since we've arrived and just to be patient.  We want YOU to come take us home!  Contact howardcountycats@comcast.net

BFF's for life!

Hi everyone!  We just wanted to show you how bonded we are.  That's why we were so scared when we were in the shelter...they had separated us.  Once back together, we relaxed and became total love bugs.  Foster mama snapped a few pics of us cuddling.  Right after this we started play wrestling!  I'm sure foster mom will get that camera out and start recording once we start playing in front of her again.  For now, here are some pictures of the two of us snuggling and being buds!  If you know anyone who would like two playful, young, BEAUTIFUL cats, send them our way!  Off to play now!  Oh, send an email to howardcountycats@comcast.net if you want to meet us.

Play time!!

Hi everyone!  Shadow and Sweetie here!  We just wanted to check in and show you how quickly we've adapted to our new foster home.  We've only been here for four days but already we feel very comfortable, so once you adopt us, we will be sure to make ourselves right at home at your house too!

We are only 1-year-old cats, so we love to play.  Our favorite toy here is this thing called the Feline Flyer.  Looks like a big bird flying around to us and we love to swat at it and jump and try to catch it.  Sometimes we do catch it in our mouths and then stalk away with our prize!  Aren't we the cutest cats ever?  You can have this cuteness in your house if you contact howardcountycats@comcast.net to adopt us.  Please, pretty please...fill out an application and take us home!

Enjoy this video of us playing with our Feline Flyer.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4S6kwrx9OBs&feature=youtu.be

Rumor has it foster mom is sending this toy home with us...we are so excited!!!!!

S-T-R-E-E-E-T-C-H

Hi everyone! I'm Shadow.

Just popping in to show how much I love to stretch!  Did you know that us kitties like to be able to stretch when using a scratching post?  Most people have posts that are too small and too unsteady.  That makes a lot of cats not want to use them.  My friend Sweetie and I love all the scratching posts we have here.  We would love to come check out the scratching posts at your house.  If you are interested in adopting us, please email howardcountycats@comcast.net

Talk to ya later!

Takeover!

Hi!  We are Shadow and Sweetie.  We are a bit confused at the moment, but new foster mom is a pushover and already we've been able to take over her blog! LOL!

We are young (only 1 year), so we know everyone will want us, right?!  People are filling out the adoption application already, right?  I hope so as we'd love to finally find our forever home.  Foster mom is already pulling out that camera and snapping pictures.  Here's a couple of us shortly after our arrival.  We were trying to eat, but she kept taking our picture...geez!  What's a girl gotta do to get some privacy around here?  Seriously, we think we will like it here, but we hope our forever family finds us very soon.  Check back for updates. I'm sure we will have lots of stories to tell.

Hi! I'm Sweetie!

Hi! I'm Shadow!

Welcome Sweetie and Shadow!

A big welcome to Sweetie (formerly Biebs) and Shadow (formerly Ricky), who will be crashing at my place until their forever family finds them.

Back in July I was scrolling through FB when Sweetie's picture caught my attention.  She was in a shelter in Baltimore and looked scared to death.  I see hundreds of cats needing a home each day, so you might ask why she caught my eye.  You see, she looked exactly like a cat I had a long time ago.  So, I shared her post hoping someone would see her and want to adopt her.

The next day I checked her post again to see if hopefully she had been adopted.  She hadn't but more information was given...the fact that she came in with another cat and was now separated from her!  No wonder she was so scared and unsure.  She was separated from her friend, Shadow.  I immediately posted another plea for someone to adopt BOTH of them.

The founder of the Howard County Cat Club (an organization I've been volunteering with for years) saw my post and said we could pull them and find a foster home, which we did.  Once delivered to their foster home, they immediately started to cuddle.  They definitely missed each other. Their foster home fell in love with them and wanted to adopted them, but unfortunately a few members found out that they were allergic to cats.  This wonderful foster family kept them though until a forever home was found.

Sweetie and Shadow packed their bags and headed to their new home.  We thought that would be the end of the story, but unfortunately, that home didn't work out.  I was asked to foster them, and of course I said yes.

I will update this blog with more pictures and information as I get to know them better.  As with most of my blog entries, I'm sure Sweetie and Shadow will take over and tell everything from their point of view! LOL!  They are the ones everyone wants to hear from after all.

Sweetie in the shelter...she was so scared without her buddy!
